About

As a response to the death of George Floyd, a few members of Stanford Business School (GSB) Class of 1994 brought together their classmates in a call to action.  The goal was a collective response from our classmates and the broader GSB alumni network to improve racial justice. This effort spawned many projects, including this project. This is a 100% volunteer effort.

The Team identified a need among business executives and managers for guidance in how to do better in building diverse organizations. The business case and societal case for diversity is clear. Many of us want more diversity, but are unsure how to achieve our goals. This guide is for this group.

This guide was compiled by business executives and managers. In the course of its development, we consulted professionals steeped in the field of diversity, equality and inclusion (DE&I) as well as available research on what works in diversity and inclusion. We focused on keeping the guidelines implementable and helpful for the non-expert.

It is our hope that many beyond the GSB community find this guide helpful. We would love to receive your comments and feedback. You can send us comments and feedback here.
